Jim Newman (Tufts, 1959) Named Engineer of the Year

The ASSE (American Society of Sanitary Engineering) named Brother Jim Newman (Tufts, 1959) Engineer of the Year at its Michigan chapter’s Annual Meeting and Awards Banquet in April 2017.

Known as the “Dean of Green,” Brother Newman is one of the country’s most experienced energy efficiency and green building experts. He was recognized by ASSE with the John E. Matthews Award for Engineer of the Year, which is given annually to an engineer who best exemplifies the professionalism during his or her career as displayed by ASSE member and leader John Matthews, PE, CIPE, FASSE.

Brother Newman is owner and managing partner of Newman Consulting Group, LLC (NCG) in Farmington Hills, MI.
