“I will never forget my first introduction to AEPi. I was at a Shabbat dinner at my alma mater, the University of California – Berkeley, when I saw three freshman wearing the same blue, diamond-shaped pledge pin that we all know so well,” said Brother Past Supreme Master Elan Carr (California – Berkeley, 1990). “I asked them what fraternity they were in and whether it was Jewish. The pride they exuded when they answered my questions, and the love they obviously felt for one another, made me realize that AEPi would be my home.” Since that auspicious day more than […]
On December 22, nearly 100 people flew in from around the world to pay tribute to Andrew Borans (Florida State, 1980), the CEO of the Alpha Epsilon Pi Foundation, as he was presented with the Order of the Lion, Alpha Epsilon Pi’s highest honor. The Order of the Lion is presented to an alumnus for service to the fraternity over a long span of years, above and beyond the call of duty. Of the more than 105,000 men who have been initiated into AEPi, fewer than 60 have received this honor. Andy Borans may be one of the most deserving […]
Two historic organizations – both founded on Jewish values in the year 1913 – continue to work together to address what has become one of our fraternity’s and our people’s greatest threats: rising anti-Semitism. AEPi develops Jewish leadership on hundreds of college campuses while the other avidly defends our right to be just that, Jewish leaders. We know that The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) has our back in calling out hatred and anti-Semitism in all of its forms. The ADL is widely viewed as one of the most credible and respected organizations in confronting anti-Semitism and combating hate around the globe. […]
On December 19, 2018, Alpha Epsilon Pi lost one of its giants as Past Supreme Master Stanford H. “Stan” Odesky (Toledo, 1959) entered chapter eternal following complications from a cardiac event and procedure. Stan’s commitment to Alpha Epsilon Pi was legendary. He served the fraternity as Supreme Master from 1989 to 1991 and was one of the driving forces behind the fraternity 75th Anniversary celebration and building dedication in 1988. In 2000, he was elected to receive the fraternity’s highest honor, The Order of the Lion. Stan also served as the unofficial “godfather” for the Phi Sigmas, Brothers who have […]
Seen from the 30th floor of the Hilton Alexandria Mark, the prominent monuments of Washington, D.C. rest squarely atop the horizon. In August, the 30 floors of the Hilton Alexandria Mark will be overflowing with energy and enthusiasm as hundreds of AEPi Brothers and guests convene for the 106th International Convention. Without question, International Convention is the central point around which all else in the AEPi-universe orbits. Nowhere else can one engage with the breadth and depth of the fraternity network. Nowhere else can one experience the collective footprint of the fraternity on world jewry. And nowhere else can one […]
