AEPi ISSUES URGENT ALERT TO UNDERGRADUATE MEMBERS

13 Apr, 2024

(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) – In response to today’s Iranian attack on Israel, Alpha Epsilon Pi Fraternity (AEPi), the world’s leading Jewish college fraternity, has issued an alert to all of its North American undergraduate members calling on them to be vigilant in protecting themselves and their campus Jewish community and to continue to stand strong for Israel. The message from CEO Rob Derdiger was sent via text to nearly 10,000 AEPi undergraduates and read:

It is rare that we write to all of you all at once and even more rare that we do so on Shabbat.

As you are likely aware, Iran launched a drone attack on Israel today.  Israel has been bracing for further escalation in the region and it seems inevitable at this hour.

Accordingly, we expect there to be additional escalation on campus by Hamas supporters.  Hamas is a known Iranian proxy, and many believe there are links directly to SJP groups on campuses.  Please be vigilant about safety while also being aggressive defenders of the Jewish right to self-determination.   This is the moment to stand up.

AEPi International has begun sending materials to chapter leaders to help them advocate for Israel and has alerted campus and security officials of their responsibilities to keep Jewish students safe.
