Whether referring to religious freedom or the freedom to feel comfortable with one’s own sexuality, those words, spoken originally by the gay and Jewish activist Harvey Milk, still matter today.

As Brothers of AEPi, we promote acceptance and inclusion of all Brothers. One of the values of our teachings we hold most important is that all human beings are fashioned b’tselm Elohim, in the image of G-d. Therefore, it is wrong to treat anyone without dignity, no matter their gender, race, sexual orientation or religion.

For the next week, through social media and on aepi.org, we will be incorporating some voices discussing issues related to this topic in the hopes of spurring thinking, encouraging reflection and inspiring our Brothers throughout the world. As Pride month comes to an end, that doesn’t mean our support for one another will end. We want you to know that we’ll always stand with our Brothers as allies and members of the LBGTQ+ community. #ProudtobeaPi
