Date: June 18 – 27, 2024
Trip Length: 9 nights
Location: Israel
We are happy to announce AEPi’s Solidarity Mission to Israel with Alumni and Friends, June 18-27, 2024. The first 18 participants (including wives and significant others) are already signed up!
This unique experience that only AEPi can arrange will be a whirlwind tour that includes visiting historical sites, special events, meetings with experts, and spending time with AEPi Brothers from Israeli university chapters and AEPi alumni “lone soldiers” who serve in the IDF.
MOST IMPORTANTLY, we will meet with the survivors and families of hostages who endured the tragedy of October 7th by traveling to S’derot, Kibbutzim in southern Israel along the Gaza border, and the memorial site of the Nova Music Festival. Their story is our story as fellow Jews.
We will also thank those who are defending Israel and serving the most vulnerable. We’ll visit an army base for a special BBQ with soldiers, volunteer to pack food boxes at Jaffa Institute for displaced families and Holocaust survivors, and see, in real-time, the life-saving operations at United Hatzalah‘s headquarters. (Both organizations are beneficiary recipients of AEPi’s Official Philanthropy Program.)
We will be hosted in the Knesset by one of our AEPi Brothers — MK Dan Illouz — who is THE YOUNGEST MEMBER OF ISRAEL’S KNESSET.
Another special, unique AEPi highlight of the trip will take place at the annual AEPi Israel Alumni Reception in Tel Aviv. This event has taken place for the past 14 years, with more than 200 ex-pat alumni of all ages who have made Aliyah, along with young Brothers who are now the graduates of our Israeli Chapters. This year’s theme is “Sports Night” featuring special guest AEPi Brothers who include the head of Israel’s Olympic Baseball, and the past captain who is the top scorer of Israel’s National Hockey team. The evening will also include a special ceremony led by PSM Elan Carr and our Brothers who are currently serving in the IDF, to honor all of our AEPi Veterans from all countries.
Throughout the trip, we will have our amazing tour guide, Rabbi Klein. A proud AEPi Brother, Rabbi Klein has led 36 Birthright Israel trips and 18 community trips.
